SHOEBOX

The Flathead is a valve train away from being disassembled and going to the machine shop.

My Dad and I towed the car from Atlanta to my garage in Asheville, NC.  My good friend Paul and I spent a night hanging out and working on the car a little.  We did a little cleaning, changed all the fluids, cleaned up the spark plugs, and had the car running by dawn.

This is my 1950 Ford when I got it.  I bought it from a good friend of mine.  It was pretty complete, but not together.  The front and rear glass and rubber, all the trim, an extra transmission, and some other misc parts in the car.  The body was pretty straight and clean, but a lot of the parts were kinda rough.  The cars electrical had been previously upgraded to a 12-volt system.  I was also aware that the engine would still turn over and had ran in the last 5 years.  I felt good about my new project.
